BKLYN Notions is a family-owned business born from a love of craftsmanship and a lifelong fascination with the little details that bring handmade projects to life. As the child of a dressmaker, I grew up surrounded by fabric, thread, and—most of all—buttons. I began collecting vintage buttons as a child, drawn to their beauty and history.
Years later, as an avid knitter, I found a new way to bring my collection to life. The idea to repurpose these cherished vintage buttons into unique stitch markers sparked the beginning of something special. With the help of my talented daughter-in-law and creative granddaughter, that spark grew into a small family business.
Today, BKLYN Notions specializes in handcrafted knitting notions—especially stitch markers made from repurposed vintage buttons—as well as curated vintage buttons and more. Each piece we create is a blend of nostalgia, artistry, and love for the craft.
